To make up a Grossmont College exam, contact the Testing Center (room 70-206) To schedule an appointment, contact the Testing Center at 619.644.7200. Non-Grossmont College exams may be proctored for a fee in the Tech Mall. Contact 619.644.7753 for information. - I forgot my password! Contact BlackBoard to retrieve lost or forgotten passwords. If you are worried about turning in an assignment on time because of password problems - email the instructor for an alternate method of turning in the work.
- Can I expect 24/7 support from my instructor? No, but you can expect a timly response to email questions. Be sure you have provided accurate contact information for a reply.
- How do I access my gcccd email account? Go to http://students.gcccd.net/exchange/logon.asp Type
your first name and last name all lower case no spaces in the Log
On box. You will then be prompted for your user
name and password and you will type in:
name= firstnamelastname
password= your college pin
Your e-mail address looks like this:
firstnamelastname@students.gcccd.net - I cant find the assignments? Go to: the BlackBoard and login. Click on the navigation button for "Assignments". You will find a complete list of all assignments that will be due for this course.
- My internet is down! What do I do? Plan ahead, this is going to happen from time to time. Have a back up plan in place, a friend with internet, public library, school, or a dialup service. Don't wait until the last possibly moment to do an assignment. If all else fails, call the instructor. She will verify your outage and possibly grant you an extension if the problem is with your service provider or BlackBoard.
